Getting There

The Napa Valley is served by five airports. San Francisco International Airport (SFO), Oakland International Airport (OAK) and Sacramento International Airport (SMF) are each approximately 60 miles away (85 km), and can be reached in approximately 1.5 hours driving time. Santa Rosa Airport (STS) is about 35 miles away. Napa County operates a private, general aviation airport for which charter flights are available, but we do not have scheduled commercial flights. The airport can accommodate most private aircraft including jets, up to 120,000 pounds, dual tandem wheels, and/or a G-5.

Transportation from local airports can be arranged through California Wine Tours . They offer a scheduled shuttle bus service to and from SFO and OAK as well as private car service. Once you have arrived at Villagio Inn & Spa, your transportation to and from Symposium events will be provided by charter bus. If you wish to get around on your own in Napa Valley, we recommend renting a vehicle as public transportation options are very limited, although we do have Uber driver service in the valley now.

Hotel Accomodations

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Villagio Inn and Spa, centrally located in Yountville, and this is where our buses will pick up and drop off registered attendees each day, so we recommend staying there, or at another property close to there. You can make your hotel reservations by calling Villagio Inn & Spa at  800-351-1133 at least 30 days prior to the symposium.

Please mention "International Cabernet Symposium" to receive the discounted group rate of $365 USD per night, plus applicable local taxes/fees.

Villagio Inn & Spa provides a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning at the hotel from 7:00am to 10:00am and all rooms are equipped with high speed wireless internet access as well as in-room coffee and tea. Guests also have access to Spa Villagio facilities. Please visit the website to learn more. Villagio Inn & Spa

Weather

The month of June in Napa Valley typically brings days that are warm and sunny, although evenings can be cool and a light jacket or sweater is recommended. Attire is generally casual, and please wear comfortable shoes for your visits to wineries as you may be spending time in the vineyards and cellars, and it is advisable to bring a light jacket. A sun hat or sunscreen is also suggested for time spent outdoors.
